Who can attend Songdo International Academy?
Both Korean and international students are welcome at Songdo International Academy. All classes are conducted in English, so students with English proficiency will benefit the most.

Does Songdo International Academy offer scholarships?
Yes. Scholarships are available based on merit and financial need. Final decisions are made by school leadership.

Is there a deadline to enroll?
We accept students year-round, depending on space availability and completion of the enrollment process.

Can the screening test be taken from home?
Yes. We use MAP Growth assessments, which can be taken either at home or on campus after submitting an application.

Do test scores affect admissions?
Admissions are not solely based on test scores. If needed, additional support options are discussed during counseling.

Are ESL classes available?
Yes. Students who need extra English support may be required to attend ESL classes from Monday to Thursday for an additional fee.

What is the academic calendar and daily schedule?
We follow an American-style school calendar from September to June. Classes run from 8:55 AM to 3:40 PM, with after-school classes until 4:35 PM, Monday to Thursday.

Does the school offer sports programs?
Yes. After-school sports classes are available Monday to Thursday, and recreational sports activities are held on Fridays.

Is there student housing?
Yes, a dormitory is available with limited capacity. Applications must be submitted by August 1 (fall) or December 1 (spring).

Is school transportation provided?
A daily school bus is available for Songdo residents. Additional routes to areas like Seoul, Gimpo, and Bundang may be considered based on demand.

Do students wear uniforms?
Yes. Students are required to wear different uniforms for various purposes and seasons, including formal, casual, and P.E. uniforms.

Are school lunches mandatory?
Lunch is optional and selected by semester. Mid-semester changes are not allowed. The monthly menu is available through the school office.

How can parents get involved?
We encourage parents to join our community support group and participate in school events such as Sports Day, Science Fair, and the Speech Contest.

Are AP courses offered?
Yes. Several AP courses are offered both on campus and through our partner universities. Please contact us for the current course list.

What supplies are needed?
Students should bring basic supplies like pens, notebooks, and a laptop or tablet. Required textbooks are provided from the school.

What are the tuition and fees?
Annual tuition is ₩26,000,000 for middle school and ₩28,000,000 for high school. Please contact the school for the full fee schedule.

What do graduates do after high school?
Our program is designed to prepare students for American universities. We do not teach Korean language or prepare for the Korean university entrance exam (수능).
